As part of the Simple Modern x OKC Thunder partnership, I designed a series of exclusive, limited-edition cup drops that united two beloved Oklahoma brands through bold design and local pride. Each drop offered fans a unique collectible item while supporting a larger cause, 10% of all sales from the Thunder Shop went directly toward a joint community initiative. By blending authentic storytelling with eye-catching product design, we created moments that resonated with fans, boosted sales, and gave back to the Oklahoma City community.

How can the Thunder connect with the local community in an authentic way and make a difference?
STRATEGY
We brought two Oklahoma brands together to authentically engage with the local community and make a difference while driving profit. 10% of each Simple Modern item sold in the Thunder Shop went toward a joint community initiative. There were multiple cup drops to give fans a chance to buy an exclusive item and help drive Simple Modern sales.

Drop 1: All 200 cups were sold
Drop 2: 187/200 cups were sold
Drop 3: 164/200 cups were sold
Drop 4: 190/200 cups were sold
Drop 5: 140/200 koozie cups were sold
Drop 6: 180/200 cups were sold
Led to a strong relationship between both Oklahoma brands and a continued partnership. Contributed to an increase in sustainability education and community development across Oklahoma.
