FOOD SHARE
APP DESIGN

Video Walkthrough

I developed the concept of Food Share and designed a working prototype application with two other students. With over 100 billion pounds of food being wasted each year in the United States alone, Food Share is a necessary, viable tool that connects businesses in the food industry with nearby organizations in need of extra supplies, all done with the goal of limiting food waste and providing free nourishment to disadvantaged people. The app also provides the rare feature of data visualization for both donors and recipients to see trends and breakdowns of the food they are donating or receiving.

I earned 1st place at the AMA NOVA Awards for Non-Profit Marketing with partners Lydia White and Kim Bates! The AMA NOVA awards is a competitive contest held every year, and we were the only student entry among marketing firms and companies. It was a huge honor to represent Drake University and our chapter of AMA and be recognized for our hard work on our app Food Share.
